SpaceCatch has implemented the highest currently possible version of AR available on the market with today's mobile phones. AR plays the main role in the core combat mode of SpaceCatch. Each player will experience a battlefield with their own mobile device while defeating multiple aliens.

Move-to-earn

The entire gameplay and in-game progress are fueled by NFT boosters. Players obtain these boosters through their physical activities or by purchasing them from other players who follow a distinct gaming strategy and choose to sell their NFT boosters. In essence, daily activities like walking to work or engaging in sports activities such as jogging, swimming, or cardio contribute to SpaceCatch, generating NFT boosters used in the game. It's important to note that NFT boosters cannot be directly bought from SpaceCatch itself; they must be earned through one's own physical activity or acquired from other active players. Once an NFT booster is used, it's burned, generating an ongoing demand for new boosters and ensuring continued player activity. This compels and motivates players to open the app/game during every physical activity and make a contribution to the game via their daily or extra physical activity.

Sustainability

The whole gaming earning concept is fuelled by physical activity and burned calories of every player. SpaceCatch earning mechanics are not designed to bring high ROI, but deliver a sustainable gaming experience with various earning mechanics, like a selling boosters to other players, renting NFTs, selling builded avatars etc. Its important to note that $CATCH token is not a reward token.

You can build your avatar and sell it to players who don’t want to start at Level 1. Also, once you stop playing SpaceCatch, you will have an opportunity to sell your whole avatar and its items to other players.

NFT Lending

You can buy unique NFTs and rent them to others. Unique NFTs are helping or are required for players' in-game progress, but there is no need to keep them all the time. You can buy them, use them, and lend them. Or if you don't want to invest in NFTs and have a different strategy, you can rent them for a while, use them, and then return back to the owner. The whole strategy is up to you, and it's your role to catch all aliens as effectively as possible.

Basic info

SpaceCatch employs a diverse range of NFTs, non-inflationary and inflationary, to fuel player interactions and avatar upgrades. The game features two primary categories of NFTs: non-inflationary, exemplified by the exclusive Genesis NFTs, and inflationary NFTs, such as in-game Boosters.

  • When a player gains a projectile weapon, that weapon has one full magazine. The magazine has got X bullets depending on the type of weapon. If a player shoots out all bullets and wants to reload, he must go to the crafting, click on the weapon, and add a box of the bullets (containing 10 bullets).

    Our story begins in a parallel universe, not so different from ours. The opinion of many is that planet Earth is a prime location for mining biomass because of its lack of intelligent lifeforms, so it is auctioned off to the highest bidder.

    So begins the first but not the last encounter of the third kind. Every city is attacked, and units of unknown species start to populate the areas of least resistance. Ignorant of our ways and abilities the alien intruders set out to capture any human they encounter. Due in part to their

    lack of intel mixed with a superiority complex, they luckily only send their weakest units known as tier 1 aliens. They come in big numbers but lack the skills and strength of the more competent units.

    Genesis NFT - The Most Unique

    Currently, there are 2,000 Genesis NFT boxes in circulation out of a total of 10,000 that will be released over the next two years. Genesis NFTs are the most unique and non-inflationary NFTs in SpaceCatch, representing the game's most valuable items. These NFTs can be used, sold, or rented to other players. As the player base grows, these Genesis NFTs become even more exclusive due to the fixed number of 10,000. The initial 500 Genesis NFT boxes were sold out in 33 seconds.

    Ingame Rewards

    Within the game, players will acquire various In-game NFT reward items as they complete quests and tasks. These NFTs are inflationary, with no supply limit. However, the deflationary aspect of these NFTs will be managed by a durability, resulting in the burning of the NFT after a certain number of uses.

    Lending and Renting NFTs

    Given the game's dynamic difficulty, players will require stronger armor/items/sets for specific situations. To make these items more accessible, SpaceCatch will implement a lending system. Players can rent out their NFT items to others, creating a win-win scenario. Owners generate a passive income, and players can rent NFT items rather than purchasing them.

    NFT Boosters and Potions

    SpaceCatch introduces a unique move-to-earn concept through NFT boosters and potions. Players accumulate "calories" and "steps" through physical activity, using calories to acquire item packs and steps to craft potions. These potions and boosters are considered "skills" with levels 1-99. Levels 1-89 are non-NFT potions for personal use, while levels 90-99 are NFT potions available for a trade, offering significantly enhanced bonuses. Once any NFT potion is used, it gets burned, creating a deflationary effect that balances prices based on supply and demand.

    NFT Durability Mechanism

    Non-inflationary NFTs do not employ a burning mechanism. In the case of inflationary NFTs, a durability function has been implemented. The more a particular NFT is used, the faster is burned. Players have the option to pay for instant recovery or use the NFT until it burns entirely.

    The next NFT sale is planned for Q3 2025. A whitelist mechanism is applied. In practice, this means that in order to mint a Genesis NFT Box, you must already own one. A 1:1 ratio is applied.

    Each player bears the responsibility of constructing their avatar, a task that involves burning calories and engaging in physical activities. Players can also enhance their avatars' strength, skills, and abilities by acquiring (either through purchase or rental) unique NFTs. These NFTs significantly boost a player's chances of conquering specific alien adversaries.

    Move-to-Earn + Training!

    SpaceCatch introduces a unique "move-to-earn" concept. Players use their real-life physical activities to fortify the health and resilience of their avatars. Engaging in physical activities yields boosters essential for improving and maintaining avatar strength. More active players have the option to sell their boosters to less active individuals or those focused on different Web3 aspects. Developers won't offer these boosters for direct purchase, ensuring a dynamic market price. Boosters come with durability, meaning they are consumed upon use, fostering continuous demand for them.

    Daily Routine and Milestones

    In their daily routine, players manage their avatar's shelter, where they check and collect Research points, Supply points, and unique dropped items. Frequent visits allow players to enhance specific aspects for future advantages. Each day, players pursue milestones for faster progress and unlocking new game areas. The "Friends" feature enables item exchange, collaborative alien invasions, defense of main hubs, and mutual combat assistance. Friends can trade items and acquire repair kits to safeguard equipment from deterioration.

    Territory Mapping and Interaction

    With a map radar and GPS location features, players pinpoint alien-invaded territories nearby. These moving territories necessitate strategic preparation and effective alien combat. Players see invasions, assess appropriate weapons, and interact with others to borrow, buy, or exchange items. However, players can also be affected by alien-induced conditions, which can sometimes be self-remedied, but in certain cases, curative/repair items are essential. This dynamic ties into crafting, not only for medical items but also for weapons. By utilizing collected items, players can modify weapons, reinforce shields, apparel, and capturing devices, and secure super-effective weapons against various alien types. These actions require a calorie wallet full enough to cover crafting recipes, repairs, or obtaining boosters.

    The core combat mode in SpaceCatch is delivered through advanced augmented reality, promising an exceptional gaming experience.

    Staking — Players staking 5 or more Genesis Box NFTs earn staking points. These points can be used in SpaceCatch Classic to purchase lootboxes without needing to pay in $CATCH tokens or fiat currency.

    Special Discord Role — Players holding at least 1 Genesis Box NFT can obtain a special Discord role: Genesis Box NFT Holder. This role grants access to a hidden Alpha group where exclusive information is shared, including important updates and upcoming features before they are made public.

    Whitelist for Future NFT Mints — Currently, 2,000 NFTs are in circulation out of a total of 10,000. Mints are released in batches and are whitelist-only.     Box Opening — Holders will be able to open their boxes to obtain several unique items that cannot be acquired in any other way.     Vault Decoder Key NFT

    Rarity: Mythical Mintage: 200/1000 Utility: Vault Decoder is one of the first keys introduced in the game. Over time, multiple types of keys will exist, primarily focused on utilities tied to the CATCH token and core gameplay.

    The main utility of this key is to allow SC:AR players to earn special lootboxes during invasion events, which will contain CATCH tokens.

    Holders of this key will be able to stake it, and every 3 days, they will receive a non-NFT in-game key, which can be used to unlock special boxes containing CATCH tokens. From one Vault Decoder Key, players can earn up to 10 non-NFT copies per month.

    If you hold multiple Decoder Key NFTs, their effects will scale linearly.

    Extraction-X Key NFT

    Rarity: Mythical Mintage: 600/3000

    Utility: This key will allow its holders to use a reverse bridge to convert the in-game currency CATCH-X into CATCH tokens. This system ensures a balanced and monitored outflow of CATCH tokens from the game, which helps to limit potential inflation and sell pressure.

    Each key will have a monthly conversion limit of 1000 CATCH-X to CATCH tokens. The more keys you own, the higher the conversion limit you can utilize.

    Abilities&Tiers

    In the text below, you can see the designed Alien's abilities in SpaceCatch. All mentioned below information may be changed during the SpaceCatch development, as the game is becoming more and more complex.

    Aliens abilities

    • they cannot change the location on the map (if it appears in one place cannot jump on another)

    • the player can see them on the map like clickable characters

    • Circles show up on the map around aliens depending on their tier (it can be a different color or different shapes (totally round vs with points like stars etc)

    • every enemy is Light or Dark based on the day and night

    • water, plant, air, toxic, mind, steel, electric

    • Aliens can be fed by player details

    Normal Spawn rate

    • when a player defeats an enemy there will spawn a new enemy nearby will spawn

    • There will be spawning only aliens tier 1

    • spawning of the enemies could be near the roads and not on the highways and private or forbidden places (airports, military areas, etc.)

    • Spawning nearby public places - increasing spawning nearby points of interest by 50%


    Alien Stages

    Alien´s movement

    Moving

    • based on alien´s tiers

    Attacking

    • based on the specific attacks described on the page of specific alien

    Stunned

    • affected by effect or parried by perfect parry

    • if stunned = the alien loses its defense for this time

    Death

    • free up to designers

    • it falls on his back

    Captured

    • free up to designers

    • can be probably the same as death (VFX will help to difference that)

    Scale up

    • Aliens will scale up with the player’s level

    • it is based on tiers and 4 groups (Brawler, assassin, flying, mind)

      • until the max hp of the alien


    Alien´s abilities

    1. attack on a specific range

    • ex. slap

    • if the player stands in the 0-X distance can be hit

    1. Projectile attack

    • ex. Mushot

    • The projectile has got straight trajectory, if the player stays in this line of trajectory, he will be hit

    1. Shield

    • ex. Mind shield

    • Passive attacks - shield will appear after the start of this attack and protect the alien against all damage for a specific time

      • can be annual by perfect parry at the start of the attack

    1. Beam attacks

    • ex. water stream, lighting

    • Beam has a straight trajectory and active time, when a player steps into a given trajectory during the active time, he will be hit.

    1. Area attack

    • ex. selfdestruct, explode

    • Everything in the AR scene will be hit

    • alien is performing default attacks till it is able to expand its pool of attacks

    • each alien has a default ability and a secondary one with conditions


    Aliens Tiers

    Tier 1

    • These will just be scattered around the area and will be the easiest to capture since their speed won't be as fast as the other levels.

    • The type of enemy will be animal/cattle

    • In battle mode, it can jump up, down, left, right

    Movement

    • left + right

    • XP reward based on specific enemy list of levels

    • 2 randomly choose items

    Reward from catching

    • Xp reward based on specific enemy list of levels

    Tier 2

    • These will spawn only in an invasion. These will be slightly harder to catch as they move around your screen and an increased pace

    • armored “cattle” or grunts

    • give a large amount of experience

    • In battle mode, it can fly around one position (like in the circle) - Fly, dig, faster jumping

    Movement

    • left+right+forward+backward

    Reward from the killing

    • XP reward based on specific enemy list of levels

    • 3 randomly chosen items

    • Only spawn in an invasion
